Dr. Zhang has been engaged in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of uveitis for over 20 years, establishing a nationally renowned specialty clinic that receives referred uveitis patients from all over the country. She treats over 4,000 uveitis patients annually, covering various common and complex severe cases such as anterior uveitis, intermediate uveitis, choroiditis, retinal vasculitis, Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease, Behcet's disease, pediatric uveitis, infectious uveitis (e.g., acute retinal necrosis syndrome), and masquerade syndromes (e.g., intraocular lymphoma). She has extensive experience in the differential diagnosis and medical treatment of uveitis, and possesses unique insights into the surgical treatment of uveitis-complicated cataracts and perioperative anti-inflammatory management.
She has led multiple basic and clinical research projects on uveitis, receiving funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, the Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Scholars of the Ministry of Education, and the Capital Clinical Characteristic Application Research and Outcome Promotion Fund.
