Dr. Liu has been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases for a long time. She was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine (John Radcliffe Hospital), University of Oxford, UK. She has hosted and participated in more than 10 national and provincial/ministerial-level projects and published over 150 papers in domestic and international professional journals. She has compiled and translated more than 10 academic monographs and textbooks, including serving as the editor-in-chief of 'Medical Research Methods' (a standardized training textbook for residents by the National Health Commission) and chief translator of 'Users' Guides to the Medical Literature - A Manual for Evidence-Based Clinical Practice'.
