Professor Yuehong Zheng is the Director of Vascular Surgery, Director of the Vascular Surgery Teaching and Research Section, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of aortic aneurysms and aortic dissections, as well as the surgical and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial and venous diseases such as arteriosclerosis obliterans, renal artery stenosis, carotid body tumors, and varicose veins. With over 20 years of medical experience, Prof. Zheng is highly skilled in open surgeries and interventional treatments for aortic and visceral artery diseases, diagnosis and treatment of vena cava and peripheral venous diseases, and autologous orthotopic kidney transplantation. He has made significant breakthroughs in various complex vascular surgeries, earning recognition from international experts. He actively performs innovative procedures, including hybrid treatments for aortic lesions, intraoperative fenestration techniques, and radical treatments for Budd-Chiari syndrome. Prof. Zheng holds numerous prominent positions, including Vice President of the International Society for Vascular Surgery (ISVS), Chairman of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Committee of the Chinese Society of Microcirculation, President of the Asia Pacific Vascular Society (APA), and Chairman of the Vascular Branch of the Western Returned Scholars Association. He serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for multiple domestic and international medical journals, an FDA new drug review expert, and a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has led multiple research funds, published over 100 papers in Chinese core journals and over 20 SCI articles, and edited more than 10 medical books.
