Dr. Sun graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in 1983, and obtained a Master's degree in Clinical Acupuncture in 1990. From April 1993 to August 1994, she studied immunology at Heidelberg University in Germany. She has been working in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital since August 1994.
