Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor. Specializes in the nutritional management of common diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and gout. Dr. Pengju Liu has been engaged in clinical nutrition work for over 10 years. His main professional focus is the nutritional management of chronic diseases, including diabetes, obesity, gestational diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and dyslipidemia. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Clinical Nutrition Branch of the Beijing Medical Association and the Secretary of the Expert Committee of the Beijing Clinical Nutrition Treatment Quality Control and Improvement Center. In April 2008, he participated in the dietitian training of the 'Towards Health Nutritional Value' project sponsored by the Ministry of Health. He won first place in the dietitian group of the hospital nutrition treatment competition at the 2010 Beijing Staff Vocational Skills Competition, received the 'Mastery of Vocational Skills Award' from the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, and was awarded the Capital Labor Medal in 2011. To date, he has published over 20 professional and popular science articles. He has also participated in the writing and compilation of books including 'Peking Union Medical College Famous Doctors Series - Hematological Oncology', 'Nutrition Assessment and Nutrition Therapy Manual', 'Diabetes Life Wisdom', and 'Quick Reference for Maternal Nutrition Recipes'.
