Director of the Department of Otolaryngology, Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. Specializes in otomicrosurgery (tympanoplasty and hearing reconstruction represented by middle ear and mastoid surgery, stapes surgery represented by otosclerosis), otoneurosurgery (diagnosis and surgical treatment of acoustic nerve, vestibular nerve, and facial nerve diseases), lateral cranial base surgery (resection, functional preservation, and reconstruction of paraganglioma, schwannoma, and petrous apex cholesteatoma), and artificial auditory implantation (minimally invasive implantation of cochlear implants for adults and children, middle ear active devices, and bone conduction hearing devices). He is the former Chairman of the Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Medical Association Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Branch. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and holds editorial roles in several other prominent medical journals. He is an expert enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council and was recognized as a young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions by the National Health and Family Planning Commission. He has received numerous awards, including the Fisch International Microsurgery Foundation Outstanding Contribution Award for Teaching (2014) and the 'Golden Scalpel Award' (2018). He is also an honorary member of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (2017) and a Guest Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2017). He has led multiple national research projects and mentored over 30 doctoral students and 7 postdoctoral fellows.
