Dr. Shi graduated from Peking Union Medical College in 2000 with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in psychological medicine. She was a visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States and serves as a teacher at the Sino-German Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine. She has a long-term collaboration with the gastroenterology department to provide psychosomatic medicine services, researching the comorbidities of functional gastrointestinal disorders and psychiatric/psychological problems.
