Dr. Xinjie Bao is the Deputy Director of Neurosurgery, Head of the Scientific Research Office (temporary post), Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and Professor at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He is also the Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program 'Stem Cell and Translational Research'.
He specializes in the treatment of pituitary adenomas, meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, hemifacial spasms, and trigeminal neuralgia. His clinical expertise includes sellar region diseases such as pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, and Rathke's cleft cysts (over 1,000 surgeries); skull base tumors such as meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, and schwannomas (over 500 surgeries); and microvascular decompression surgeries for hemifacial spasms and trigeminal neuralgia (over 200 surgeries).
Dr. Bao has led multiple national and provincial research projects, including the National 863 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 80 papers, including more than 60 SCI papers, and holds 6 patents.
