Dr. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of general surgical diseases, with a particular focus on the surgical treatment of hepatic, biliary tract, and thyroid gland diseases. He has conducted in-depth research on various difficult surgical conditions, extensively exploring complex hepatobiliary diseases such as intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones, congenital biliary cysts and malformations, hepatic hemangioma, hepatic cysts, high bile duct cancer, biliary stricture, gallbladder cancer, and bile duct injury. He has also proposed new treatment indications and strategies for gallstones and gallbladder polyps. Furthermore, he has extensive clinical experience with gastrointestinal tumors and thyroid cancer, achieving advanced domestic levels in tumor resection and survival rates. His basic research focuses on the early diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary tumors. Dr. He studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Shanghai Medical University from 1979 to 1984, and has been working in the Surgery Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital since 1984. He attended the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from 1986 to 1989, and served as an exchange scholar at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center from 1992 to 1995. He was appointed as a graduate supervisor in 1999 and promoted to Chief Physician and Professor of General Surgery in 2000.
