Dr. Guoqing Tian is a Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He specializes in the integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of diabetes and its chronic complications, as well as the auxiliary Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment of cancer, including lung cancer, and miscellaneous internal medicine diseases.
He graduated from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1992 and earned his MD/PhD in Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Clinical Medicine from Peking Union Medical College in 2000. In 2007, he served as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Environmental and Human Health at Texas Tech University in the United States. Dr. Tian has received rigorous training in both TCM and Western medicine, possessing a solid foundation in medical theory and extensive clinical experience.
Dr. Tian is highly dedicated to medical education, frequently teaching foreign students in English, and has been recognized multiple times as an Outstanding Teacher and Clinical Instructor at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He has led and participated in numerous prestigious research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the '11th Five-Year' National Science and Technology Support Program. He has published over 50 articles, including 9 SCI papers, and has received multiple awards for his scientific and educational contributions.
