Dr. Xiaoxiao Shi specializes in common diseases in nephrology, with a primary research focus on primary and secondary tubulointerstitial diseases, Sjögren's syndrome-related renal damage, primary and secondary malignant hypertensive renal damage, and rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis.
From 2006 to 2009, she received pre-medical training at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University. In 2014, she completed the eight-year clinical medicine program at Peking Union Medical College and obtained her doctoral degree (MD). She joined the Department of Internal Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital in 2014, serving successively as a resident physician in internal medicine, chief resident in internal medicine, attending physician in nephrology, and associate chief physician. She has multiple overseas study and training experiences, including at the UCSF Medical Center in the United States and the affiliated hospitals of the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Canada.
