Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor. Specializes in the diagnosis and minimally invasive surgical treatment of primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma) and biliary tract diseases (gallstones, bile duct stones, etc.). He is also an expert in systemic treatment (targeted immunotherapy), comprehensive treatment, conversion surgery, and whole-process management for advanced hepatobiliary malignancies. Dr. Yang graduated from Peking Union Medical College in July 2013 with an MD in Clinical Medicine and subsequently joined Peking Union Medical College Hospital. His research focuses on the basic mechanisms of liver cancer (HBV integration and pathogenesis) and clinical applications (targeted immunotherapy and comprehensive treatment). As a core team member, he has managed over 1,000 patients with advanced hepatobiliary malignancies, achieving significant therapeutic improvements and successful downstaging for conversion surgery in oligometastatic cases. He has served as a Sub-PI in 30 clinical trials and hosted multiple provincial, ministerial, and university-level research projects.
