Dr. Chunhua Yu is a medical doctor and serves as a Director of the Chinese Society of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology. She graduated from Peking University Health Science Center in 1995. Following graduation, she worked in the Department of Anesthesiology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, progressing through the ranks of Resident, Chief Resident, Attending Physician, Associate Chief Physician, and Chief Physician. From 2003 to 2006, she worked and studied as a Clinical/Research Fellow in the Department of Anesthesia at Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada, focusing on liver transplant anesthesia and high-risk tumor patient anesthesia. During this time, she participated in clinical research on the myocardial protective effects of inhalational anesthetics and basic research in the Malignant Hyperthermia Laboratory. From August to November 2011, funded by the 'Hundred Talents Program' of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, she visited and studied at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. She was approved as a Master's Supervisor in 2010 and promoted to Chief Physician and Professor in 2014.
With nearly 20 years of frontline clinical experience, she possesses a solid theoretical foundation and rich clinical expertise, adeptly performing various anesthesia procedures. She demonstrates clear thinking, accurate judgment, and rigorous decisiveness when managing critical and complex cases.
