Dr. Li specializes in diabetic nephropathy and various glomerular diseases, including rare kidney diseases, renal replacement therapy, and medical issues related to renal transplantation. He has over 35 years of clinical experience at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH), including 30 years specifically in the Department of Nephrology. He has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases, particularly diabetic nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, and alternative treatments for renal failure.
Currently, he serves as a National Health Popularization Expert for the Healthy China Action Promotion Committee, a Medical Device Technical Review Expert for the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), and holds various leadership roles in professional medical associations including the Beijing Medical Association and the Chinese Medical Association. His research primarily focuses on biomarkers for glomerular diseases, and he has led or participated in numerous national and provincial research projects.
