Dr. Weijie Chen is an Associate Chief Physician in the Department of General Surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He serves as a member of the STAR General Surgery Specialty Committee, the General Surgery Branch of the Beijing Association of Integrative Medicine, the Endocrine Surgery Specialty Committee of the Beijing Perioperative Medicine Research Association, and the Youth Committee of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Professional Committee of the Cross-Strait Medicine Exchange Association. He has also studied as an exchange scholar at the University of Basel in Switzerland and the University of Chicago in the United States.
Dr. Chen has hosted the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Innovation Engineering Research Project, and participated in the National Natural Science Foundation General Project. He holds 6 national invention and utility model patents and has published nearly 30 SCI articles as the first author.
