Neurology
Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor at the Department of Neurology, Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Neurosurgery
Dr. Xinjie Bao is the Deputy Director of Neurosurgery, Head of the Scientific Research Office (temporary post), Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and Professor at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. Liver Surgery

Professor Xisheng Weng is a renowned orthopedic expert in China with extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal deformities, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, hip osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, necrosis of the femoral head, and hemophilic arthritis. He specializes in various joint replacement surgeries. Nephrology
Director of the Department of Internal Medicine, Professor, Chief Physician, and Doctoral Supervisor. Dr. Li specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various glomerular and tubular interstitial diseases, as well as chronic renal failure. She has extensive experience in managing difficult and critical acute renal failure. Dr. Li received her MD from Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH) in 1996. With over 20 years of clinical experience at PUMCH, she has served as an attending physician, associate professor, and currently the Director of the Department of Internal Medicine. She is highly skilled in various blood purification techniques. In 1997, she received an ISN scholarship for specialist training in Australia. From 2003 to 2005, she completed postdoctoral research in critical care at the NIH in the United States. She has been the Director of Nephrology since 2005. In 2015, she was selected as a national candidate for the Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project and receives a special allowance from the State Council. She has led numerous national research projects, including the 12th Five-Year Plan projects on chronic kidney disease management, and has published approximately 200 papers, including contributions to the New England Journal of Medicine. She also founded the PUMCH-MGH Nephrology Development and Physician Training Fund.
Nephrology
Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor. Dr. Li specializes in the treatment of primary and secondary glomerular diseases and blood purification therapy, with particular expertise in lupus nephritis, refractory nephrotic syndrome, and acute renal failure. He has extensive clinical experience in diagnosing and treating primary and secondary glomerular diseases, renal vascular diseases, and acute and chronic renal failure. He also has unique insights into immunosuppressive therapy for nephrotic syndrome, IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, renal transplant rejection, and pregnancy in patients with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Li graduated from the Department of Medicine at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) in 1970 and obtained his Master's degree in Nephrology from PUMC in 1982. He conducted research in renal cell biology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 1987 to 1989 and studied internal medicine teaching at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital in 1995. He also holds a hospital management certificate from the China Europe International Business School (2000-2003). He has served as the Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Nephrology, Director of the Blood Purification Center, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Executive Vice President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH). He has led numerous national and provincial research funds, focusing on the mechanisms of renal damage caused by abnormal lipid metabolism, the renal protective effects of statins, and the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy and lupus nephritis. Dr. Li has published over 200 scientific papers, clinical case reports, and reviews in domestic and international journals. He has served as the editor-in-chief for 4 books and participated in writing 15 monographs. He has supervised 51 doctoral students and 8 master's students, making significant contributions to the development of nephrology in China.
